Join us as we combine Bath's finest rural vistas with its UNESCO World Heritage city centre in one perfectly balanced day. Our carefully crafted route delivers panoramic city views, explores ancient woodland, and traverses the historic Kennet and Avon Canal before immersing walkers in Bath's architectural splendor.
The morning section ascends through tranquil paths to reach the city's eastern heights, offering spectacular photography opportunities across the Avon Valley. Highlights include the 18th-century folly of Sham Castle, centuries-old beech woodland, and beautifully maintained grounds, with multiple viewpoints across the World Heritage city.
After a strategic lunch stop at Sydney Gardens' Holburne Museum, the afternoon leg showcases Bath's architectural magnificence, including Great Pulteney Street, often called Britain's grandest boulevard, the medieval Bath Abbey, and the Roman Baths complex. The route culminates in a perfectly timed visit to the Royal Crescent and The Circus, Bath's iconic Georgian masterpieces, before a serene canal-side return journey.

WHAT TO BRING:
- Comfortable walking shoes, boots for the first part of the day.
- Clothes suitable for walking/hiking. Waterproofs.
- Spare clothing / socks in case of weather or you prefer to change for second part of the day.
- Sun cream, sunglasses, sun hat - April can also be sunny!
- Water, Picnic lunch.
- Travel costs, optional refreshments and funds for optional celebratory drinks / meal at the end of the day in Bath!

It is possible to travel down with the group or separately.
The hike is in support of registered charity The Brun Bear Foundation.
The Brun Bear Foundation is a small charity with a big heart. It supports a mix of community, medical and animal welfare projects. Its diverse programme spans funding the beautification of parks, theatre experiences for inner city children, research programmes into better and kinder treatments for children with leukaemia and outstanding conservation projects focused on bears of any species. It also funds a range of awards and bursaries.
The cost is £7.00 which will be donated to The Brun Bear Foundation.
