Join us on Saturday 27 July for a 14 mile, Seven Sisters, Small Charity With A Big Heart Hike!
This is one of the finest and most beautiful cliff walks with some truly amazing views:
- Martello Tower in Seaford
- Seven Sisters Cliffs
- Cuckmere Haven
- Birling Gap
- Belle Tout Lighthouse
- Beachy Head: the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, rising to 162m (530ft) above sea level.
- Eastbourne Pier & Beach
The hike is in support of registered charity The Brun Bear Foundation.
The Brun Bear Foundation is a small charity with a big heart. It supports a mix of community, medical and animal welfare projects.
Its diverse programme spans funding the beautification of parks, theatre experiences for inner city children, research programmes into better and kinder treatments for children with leukaemia and outstanding conservation projects focused on bears of any species.
It also funds a range of awards and bursaries.
GRADE: Moderate to Hard. 14 miles/18 km, 1,000m ascent. 5 - 6 hours of walking at a steady pace, mainly up and down hills.
If the tide is low we have the option of crossing at Cuckmere River. Participants may feel more comfortable switching into flip flops / crocks etc for this part (its pebbly) and bringing a small towel.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Comfortable walking shoes, boots. (Flip flops/crocks etc for potential river crossing)
- Clothes suitable for walking/hiking. Waterproofs.
- Sun cream, sunglasses, sun hat.
- Water, Picnic lunch.
- Travel costs, optional refreshments and funds for optional celebratory drinks / meal at the end of the hike in Eastbourne!

- The hike takes place on Saturday 27 July @ 8.15 AM
- Our hike will be led by a professional guide.
- It is possible to travel down with the group or separately.
